1 lb skinless salmon fillet
1 medium onion, chopped
4 medium carrots, diced
6 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 tbsp whole allspice
1 bay leaf
4 cups water
1 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp chopped fresh dill
Salt to taste
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the potatoes, carrots, onion, Bay leaf, allspice and salt. Cook on medium heat until potatoes are almost tender, about 10-15 minutes. Cut salmon fillet into 1-inch peaces and add to the pot. Simmer for 10 more minutes. Stir the heavy cream and dill into the soup, bring to a boil. Before serving, remove bay leaf and allspice from the soup.

i don't think i've ever seen salmon in a soup before! my dad would love this!!
